About Tekmetric
Tekmetric is a leading automotive repair shop management platform—similar to a POS system but built specifically for independent repair shops. Based in Texas, Tekmetric helps shop owners transition from pen-and-paper methods to a comprehensive digital system for tracking invoices, parts, labor, and customer interactions. As Tekmetric expands nationwide, its sales teams increasingly rely on in-person visits to build relationships with shop owners and stand out in a blue-collar industry where local references are key.
The Challenge
1. Limited Mapping & Route Tools Reduced Field Outreach
Tekmetric’s CRM (HubSpot) lacked a built-in way to map accounts or optimize routes. Sales reps had to piece together data manually—using zip codes in HubSpot or external spreadsheets—to figure out which shops were nearby. This led to inefficient travel, especially when prospects canceled last-minute or when reps wanted to pivot quickly to nearby businesses.
We needed to visualize our customers on a map. Our shops do business in person—we need to do business with them in person, too.

2. Dirty Data and Duplicate Records Limited Sales Potential
With over 77,000 existing leads in HubSpot, Tekmetric’s team often found incorrect addresses or duplicate records. This confusion hindered the inside sales team’s ability to locate references on the fly—potentially losing deals with prospects who wanted immediate evidence of local Tekmetric users.
3. Prior Mapping Solutions Fell Short
Tekmetric initially tried another mapping tool (GeoMapper), but it only supported up to 10 stops per route, lacked auto-assignment by territory, and had no two-way integration with HubSpot. Prospecting through that software was minimal at best. Tekmetric needed something more robust and capable of pushing changes back into HubSpot.
4. Missed Opportunities for Advanced Analytics
Tekmetric sees extensive data points inside its application—like average repair order (ARO) and daily car count per shop. Because HubSpot alone didn’t let them visualize or map these statistics, Tekmetric left valuable insights untapped.
How Mapsly Helped
Automatic Data Cleansing and Address Verification
By integrating with HubSpot, Mapsly immediately flagged invalid or missing addresses on deals and contacts. Tekmetric quickly corrected ~40% of contact records in a new pilot list, ensuring that location-based workflows (like territory assignments) worked smoothly. This continuous cleanup also helped reduce duplicates across 70,000+ prospects.
I’m literally cleaning data right now. Mapsly shows me invalid addresses, so I can fix them in HubSpot and have them appear on the map in minutes.
Route Optimization Saves Up to 3–4 Hours per Rep Each Week
Tekmetric’s field reps can now build multi-day routes in minutes. Instead of manually scheduling each visit, they select a cluster of prospects in Mapsly, generate an optimized route, and push it to their calendars. One rep planned three weeks of in-person visits in advance, eliminating hours of daily planning.
Before Mapsly, routing might take three or four hours a week. Now we can do it in a few clicks—and focus on actual selling.
Territory Management by Zip Code or County
Using Mapsly’s territory tool, Tekmetric set up custom outside-sales territories for Texas and beyond. Reps can easily drag and drop boundaries, export zip codes for internal reporting, or automatically assign incoming leads to the right owners. This streamlined approach frees up Tekmetric’s operations team from having to manually compile zip codes to define each territory.
Being able to build territories by state or zip code blew my mind. It’s a huge time-saver for me and my team.
Prospecting & Local References Boost Conversions
Tekmetric leverages Mapsly’s built-in prospecting to discover new automotive repair shops in local markets. When traveling to a region, reps also check Mapsly to see nearby existing customers—providing hyper-local references that accelerate deals.
We don’t just plot prospects—we can see which shops around them are already using Tekmetric. That’s huge for earning trust quickly.
Preparing for Advanced Analytics
Although Tekmetric is still cleaning data, they’re already exploring Mapsly’s analytics to overlay critical metrics like ARO and daily car count on a map. This will enable the team to identify high-value regions and pinpoint performance outliers
