The Role
As part of our AI team, you’ll be instrumental in creating and refining both internal AI tools and customer-facing features. You’ll work on incorporating advanced open-source AI models customized to our needs, ensuring that Mapsly remains at the cutting edge of the AI revolution and continues to strengthen its lead as the top AI-driven geo-intelligence platform.
What You’ll Do
- Develop Innovative AI Solutions: Adapt and train open-source models to drive AI adoption across Mapsly’s capabilities.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with product, engineering, and data science colleagues to identify high-impact projects, develop prototypes, and deploy ML-driven solutions that enhance the Mapsly experience.
- Iterate & Optimize: Continuously refine and test AI models, ensuring they remain robust, scalable, and efficient in production environments.
- Drive Feature Innovation: Brainstorm new AI-powered functionalities—such as real-time route prediction, advanced territory segmentation, or intelligent lead scoring—that will elevate our clients’ success.
- Research & Stay Current: Keep pace with the latest developments in AI, including new model architectures, open-source releases, and community-driven innovations that can benefit Mapsly.
What We’re Looking For
- Academic/Professional Background: A Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field is ideal (or equivalent industry experience).
- Proven ML/AI Chops: Hands-on experience building, training, and deploying machine learning models with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Open-Source Familiarity: Track record of customizing and extending popular open-source solutions like Hugging Face Transformers (e.g., GPT-Neo, BERT, T5) or computer vision frameworks (e.g., YOLO) to solve novel problems.
- Geospatial Focus: Exposure to geospatial data analysis or GIS tools is a plus.
- Coding & Data Pipelines: Proficiency in Python; familiarity with data engineering tools (Spark, Hadoop) and relevant APIs is beneficial.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges, experimenting, and iterating quickly to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
