Behind the sweet treats is a lean, 22-person team supporting over 180 locations and 90 franchisees nationwide \u2014 each with unique territories, delivery zones, and operational constraints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Managing that complexity is no small feat. That\u2019s why BeaverTails turned to Mapsly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>From JPEG Maps to Smart Territories<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before Mapsly, franchise territories were stored as hand-drawn images \u2014 literally JPEG screenshots, sometimes cross-referenced with Google Maps on a third screen. There was no unified view, no way to edit boundaries easily, and no clean process for resolving overlaps or enforcing exclusivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe were like one step below old-school,\u201d laughs Regan Schasny-Scott, who manages franchise territory operations. \u201cScreenshots. A franchisee with a storefront might have exclusive rights to a few city blocks, while a food truck operator could control an entire province depending on population density. Someone in Laval might not have known to click \u201cMontreal\u201d. Now, customers simply enter their postal code. Mapsly identifies the correct territory in seconds and passes the request to the right franchisee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey don\u2019t have to figure it out. They just tell us where they are \u2014 and we take care of the rest,\u201d says Regan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edge cases are handled too: if no operator is found within three hours, Zoho triggers a workflow that alerts a staff member to follow up. Nothing slips through the cracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And with Mapsly tracking every request, Regan gained visibility into booking patterns:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>&lt;1%<\/strong> of requests now go to the wrong franchisee (down from \u201csignificantly more\u201d before)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>4%<\/strong> of bookings are now clearly flagged as outside any territory (a stat they couldn\u2019t even measure before)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7%<\/strong> of form submissions were duplicates \u2014 prompting a simple confirmation message update that eliminated most of them<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Map That Trains the Team<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>BeaverTails also uses Mapsly to orient and educate its internal staff.
