In dental emergencies, every second counts. When a tooth is knocked out, immediate care can mean the difference between saving or losing it. That’s the mission behind the company  Dental Traumatology Projects (DTP) with their Tooth Rescue Box initiative led by J\u00f6rg Erich Knieper \u2014 an ambitious, humanitarian project aiming to provide rapid access to vital dental preservation tools and nearby dental care facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tooth Rescue Box is a simple yet powerful tool: a small bottle filled with a cell-preserving solution. When a tooth is knocked out, it is placed in the liquid, which keeps cells vital for up to 48 hours \u2014 buying time until the patient can see a dentist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The box has existed since 1994, but few people are aware of it. To change this, the Dental Traumatology Projects decided to send Tooth Rescue Boxes to locations with a high risk of dental trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Dental Traumatology Projects originally used a combination of Excel files, CRMs, and a basic OpenStreetMap-based interface. While functional, these tools lacked real-time location intelligence, filtering, and customizable territory visualization. Most importantly, the dentist locator required scrolling through long tables with 40,000+ entries \u2014 impractical during an emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
